This is a list of traffic generation tactics for driving web traffic and backlinks to your online niche sites. I fondly coined it Project Traffic for short and it will be presented to you in a series of articles. Note that this is not an affiliate marketing product.
Here is first in the series of Project Traffic for you:
Submit articles to the Top Article Directories. This is the grandmaster of traffic generation, the process of which is still very effective, yet very mundane. Fully optimize your resource box with anchor text and link backs.
Provide blog comments on other’s blogs. Give constructive opinions or quality information to generate backlinks to your own sites. Note that some webmasters will deem you as simply trying to get backlinks if you provide unrelated one liners.
Leverage on affordable offline advertising to drive traffic to your online site. Wear your site if you have to, on your Tees. Or print your URL on your car, external of your house, windows of your high rise apartment, as screen savers, give away URL stickers etc. Read more
Driven Free Traffic to Your Website

For those of you who have tried to make a buck thru internet marketing or thru affiliate marketing how successful were or are you? Very, kind of or not at all successful? There is one thing you all have in common regardless of your past outcomes, INTERNET TRAFFIC!!
Internet traffic is basically the millions and millions of people surfing the web who can visit your website(s). They may happen across it by accident or they may be driven there. Driven there are Keep those two words in mind.
Back to your success. If you are very successful making money on the internet then you have a website that is visited regularly and those visitors, after taking in the information, decide to purchase a good or a service. This is what makes you money. See how it ties in to the TRAFFIC! I cannot be more emphatic about this!! If you have a website, yours or an affiliate, and you want to make money you need to get as many eyes as possible to visit your site(s). 3 Types of Website Traffic

Where does traffic come from, now I’m not talking about that stuff we all get stuck in during rush hour. Website traffic is essential, if you have no traffic to your website you are not going to get anyone buying your products or reading your articles. Traffic is one of the key components of your website and is available in these 3 forms.
1. Pay For It.
You can buy traffic typically using what is known as Pay Per Click advertising the major names is this market are Google and their AdWords program and Yahoo Network Sponsored Search. There are many smaller companies around also but they all follow the same premise.
You create your account, grab a bunch of keywords and create your adverts. You can define the amount you want to spend per click or per day, what geographical areas you want your adverts to appear in and even what time they appear.
When someone types one of your keywords into, for example Google your advert will be displayed down the right hand side of the natural search results. If the searcher then choses to click on your advert and gets forwarded to your website you will get charged for that click.
The price you pay for each individual click depends on a variety of conditions such as how many other people are competing on that keyword. People love highly niche related blogs. Search engines love blogs focused on a target market. Even your website loves the blog it is connected to. So you really only have one choice.
Build a blog
You can have a blog up and going within a couple hours tops. I know, because I do it frequently.However, just building a blog is not enough. You also need to start generating traffic to your blog else all you really have is an electronic paperweight.
Be Creative
One of the best ways to get that traffic you are looking for is by writing articles. I’ve tried this process with and without the bum marketing concept included. I’ve learned the hard way that it’s much easier to compete against 1500 different entries than it is 23 million. Further, while I would indeed use an article submitter software, I would also logon to all the key article directories that I want to use and setup profiles where that option is made available.
